Anche d’estate Palazzo Strozzi rimane aperto con due mostre dedicate a visioni femminili del nostro tempo.
Time for Women! ripercorre oltre vent’anni di ricerca artistica attraverso le opere delle vincitrici del Max Mara Art Prize for Women, in un dialogo che intreccia identità, corpo, memoria, politica e società.
Con the hollow men, mostra a ingresso gratuito, Giulia Cenci trasforma il Project Space in un paesaggio sospeso e perturbante, abitato da creature ibride e strutture post-industriali. Un’immersione in una realtà frammentaria e in continua trasformazione, tra scultura, disegno e installazione.
Le mostre sono aperte fino al 31 agosto 2025 tutti i giorni, festivi inclusi, dalle 10.00 alle 20.00 e i giovedì fino alle 23.00 (ultimo ingresso un’ora prima della chiusura).

È così che lo speziale Tribaldo de’ Rossi, che aveva la sua bottega di fronte a Santa Trìnita, poco lontano dall’attuale Piazza Strozzi, annota nei suoi ricordi. Fu in quel giorno, infatti, che ebbe inizio la costruzione del palazzo destinato a diventare uno dei più importanti esempi di architettura rinascimentale a Firenze: simbolo del potere di una famiglia e oggi laboratorio di arte e cultura nel cuore della città.

Palazzo Strozzi remains open during the summer with two exhibitions dedicated to contemporary female visions.
Time for Women! traces over twenty years of artistic research through the works of the winners of the Max Mara Art Prize for Women, in a dialogue that intertwines identity, body, memory, politics, and society.
With “The Hollow Men ,” a free exhibition, Giulia Cenci transforms the Project Space into a suspended and disturbing landscape, inhabited by hybrid creatures and post-industrial structures. An immersion in a fragmented and ever-changing reality, between sculpture, drawing, and installation.
The exhibitions are open until 31 August 2025 every day, including holidays, from 10.00 to 20.00 and on Thursdays until 23.00 ( last admission one hour before closing).
On August 6, 1489, at sunrise, the master craftsmen began to build the so-called Palagio di Filippo Istrozi.
This is what the apothecary Tribaldo de’ Rossi, who had his shop opposite Santa Trìnita, not far from today’s Piazza Strozzi, notes in his memoirs. It was on that day, in fact, that construction began on the palace destined to become one of the most important examples of Renaissance architecture in Florence: a symbol of a family’s power and today a laboratory of art and culture in the heart of the city.
