Nessun dorma! Tra schiaffi, dazi e strazi ecco poco fa la cannonata economica del governatore del governatore di Bankitalia Fabio Panetta.
La corsa ai dazi “potrebbe sottrarre quasi un punto percentuale alla crescita mondiale nell’arco di un biennio” e sta “spingendo l’economia globale su una traiettoria pericolosa” mettendo a rischio già oggi il 5% del commercio globale”.
Il governatore spara da alzo zero e nelle sue considerazioni finali parla apertamente di una “crisi profonda degli equilibri che hanno sostenuto la crescita mondiale negli ultimi decenni” . Bacchetta l’Europa chiedendo di “non restare indietro” anche attraverso l’utilizzo di strumenti di debito comune. Tra i punti chiave, Panetta pone il sigillo e stigmatizza la politica economica statunitense con le scelte di Donald Trump ammonendo la Ue.
E ancora l’allarme e l’ammonimento sul costo dell’energia. “In Italia, più che altrove in Europa, è urgente intervenire sul costo dell’energia”: Occorre farlo “seguendo le direttrici già tracciate: ampliando il ricorso a fonti pulite, incentivando i contratti a lungo termine e rafforzando infrastrutture e reti di trasmissione”. Secondo Panetta “servono investimenti adeguati e una netta semplificazione delle procedure autorizzative per i nuovi impianti”.

No one sleeps! Between slaps, duties and torments here is the economic cannonade from the governor of the Bank of Italy Fabio Panetta.
The rush to duties “could subtract almost a percentage point from global growth over the course of two years” and is “pushing the global economy onto a dangerous trajectory” putting at risk already today 5% of global trade”.
The governor shoots from zero elevation and in his final remarks he speaks openly of a “deep crisis of the balances that have supported global growth in recent decades”. He scolds Europe asking “not to be left behind” also through the use of common debt instruments. Among the key points, Panetta puts the seal and stigmatizes the US economic policy with the choices of Donald Trump warning the EU.
And again the alarm and warning on the cost of energy. “In Italy, more than elsewhere in Europe, it is urgent to intervene on the cost of energy”: It is necessary to do so “following the guidelines already traced: expanding the use of clean sources, incentivizing long-term contracts and strengthening infrastructure and transmission networks”. According to Panetta “adequate investments and a clear simplification of the authorization procedures for new plants are needed”.
